Printing checks in house can save businesses time and money allowing them to put resources to better use. To comply with Federal Reserve and ANSI specifications for readability, checks must be printed using MICR ink or toner.
MICR (pronounced as mick-er) stands for Magnetic Ink Character Recognition and is used for fast check processing and added security. The MICR line is machine-readable text present at the bottom of a check consisting of numbers and symbols. MICR toner is used for check-printing on laser printers.
PCI and Hi-Value Brand MICR toner products are created right here in the USA. We start with an OEM (HP, Lexmark, Samsung, Ricoh, Canon, Dell) core and remanufacture it to like new using MICR toner specifically designed to work in OEM laser printers. All our MICR products are guaranteed and backed by our Premium Promise Warranty.
